Software Engineer (Java/C++ GUI developer)

Location: Silver Spring, MD

Description: Must have a minimum of 2 year of Java experience (preferably more)and a year's experience with GUI development. Overall the candidate should have several years experience in the field on OO and/or GUI Development.  Experience with development tools like revision control systems and memory leak checkers is required.   It is also desired that the candidate have very strong C++ programming and   3-Tier system experience.

Required skills: Good oral and written communication skills required, as well as knowledge of software development lifecycle and data networks. Successful candidate will use JAVA, OOA&D, UNIX, XWindows/Motif, Continuus, and other tools to develop new software. It would be helpful to have knowledge of the following: Frame Relay, ATM, FDDI, ORBIX, Sybase, and CMIP/CMISE.

Data Conversion Specialist

Location: Silver Spring, MD

Description:The role of Data Conversion Specialist requires detailed knowledge of SQL, Perl, Tcl/Tk and Korn shell scripting. The individual will be required to complete complicated programming assignments using the above tools for planned project activities. Each release of the software may necessitate scripts to convert data to meet new requirements.  The tasks are designed tosupport the continuing operations of operations centers.  Knowledge of telecommunications and data networking desired.  The incumbent will also meet the requirements of the Production Support team.

Required skills:   Good problem solving and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of software life cycle required.  Five or more years of software development, testing and support experience in a UNIX, Sybase and OO environment.

Tester

Location: Silver Spring, MD

Description:Participate on a Testing Team and execute test plans for a fully integrated Data Network Management System .  Product developed and deployed in a distributed Unix environment utilizing Sybase.  Knowledge of object oriented testing methodologies helpful. Selected individual is accountable for the planning and execution of tests to validate multiple software Releases.
Individual will prepare test cases from requirements, perform tests and document results. The position requires significant interaction with other teams, so exceptional interpersonal skills
and strong oral and written communications skills are also required.  Familiarity with automated test tools is highly desired.
Required skills: Experience testing in a distributed environment using Relational database, Sybase, SQL, Unix.  Knowledge of data networks. Telecommunications and Service Assurance system experience. Knowledge of quality and process improvement methods is desired.
Proficiency with testing tools.

Opening for Production Support Data Retrieval.
